What is wrong with the courts these days?!?

We had snow and ice overnight, and this morning I woke up to find that it was still icing. I was supposed to have court at 9 am, and this is in a town 30 minutes from where I live. So I called about 20 times to find out if it was canceled. It was either always busy or there was no answer. I listened to the recording and they said nothing about it being canceled. So I packed up all three of my babbys and headed off to court..which took even longer then a half hour to get there cause its icing outside. What do I find when I get there? I sign on the door saying court is canceled, and they'll mail out a new court date. WTF?! They made me waste all that gas to find out it's canceled. Why would they not put a recording about it? Somebody obv went there to put the sign, so why couldnt they change the recording? Arghh I am so aggravated! Do courts just not have any common courtesy? What if I was from the city, and got the ticket when I was upstate. I would have driven an hour and a half to get there only to find it was canceled. They have no respect for people!
