Any fun ways to make my kid learn?

My 4year old is not in school yet...but will go very soon. Until then, I want him to be ready. My child has a short attention spand and doesnt tune into learning numbers or the alphabet. He's extremely smart, but I think he tunes out of me teaching him because its boring for him. I need ideas to make him interested so he remembers whats being tought. I dont want my child to stay behind in academics/education...PLEASE HELP!!
