I lost an Excel file. When I opened my spreadsheet, it asked if I wanted to replace the existing spreadsheet.?

I mistakenly said "yes." Can anything be done to recover it? I'd buy a recovery program if it would work. Their answer is "yes" to deleted files and "no" to overwritten files. (I've already looked in Recycle Bin and through all existing files with no luck.)
