What can I do about ADULT cyber bullying?

For almost 2 years I have been hared by a adult female she is 38 and I am 24, I think this is all ridiculous! She has hared me by saying some very hurtful things, and has made up so many lies about me. I have blocked her from every social site (myspace, facebook etc.) But now she has been posting these things in a public forum in my city. She has posted my full name, address, telephone number on these sites.(one time she even posted my mothers address saying that the person that lives there is a child molester!!!!) With all the crazy people out there, that's not safe at all. She constantly tells me to slit my wrists and die, or jump off a bridge and many other things. She also pes by my house because in one of the forums she described my roommates 2 vehicles (she wouldn't have known that unless she saw them). She does have bipolar I believe, that's what her brother said anyway, but the way she acts you can tell its the truth. I have been to a detective, but not much has happened with that. She basically said this will be a long drawn out process and that the person posting these things is Truly sick. I have not heard from them since. I know that the police and detectives have a lot more important things to do, my brother is a cop I understand, but she threatens me a lot and I do fear for my safety, I don't know what she is capable of. This woman has never met me, but continues to har me. She married my ex-boyfriend, we stopped dating along time before he met her, so there are no hard feelings there.(We were not good together anyway.) I don't understand why she is doing this to me. The only thing I can think of why she is doing this to me is because although my ex and I didn't work out, I am still friends with his mother. And also my mom is best friends with her too (ex's mom). But I have actually stopped being around my ex's mom, thinking she would stop. But no luck, she continues to do these horrible things to me. I have been to the police, I have not responded to the posts except to say "leave me alone", that's it.(as i was told to do), I have blocked her, and have done anything and everything to stop this mess but none of it works. Is there anyone out there that knows what I can do? I can't let her keep doing this because she is slandering my name everywhere. Although I shouldn't let her words hurt me, but some of them do. Anyone have any advice??
